If you are planning to visit Malta on a tourist visa, then you must know the visa requirements. It is not necessary to obtain a Malta visit visa if you are a citizen of an EU/EEA country. If their stay is more than 90 days, they must register with the local authorities.
If you are not a resident of the European Union or the European Economic Area, you will need a 90-day short-term visa to visit Malta. This is also known as a Schengen visa.
