Male expatriates must have a monthly salary of at least AED 4,000 or AED 3,000 plus accommodation.
Female expatriates must have a monthly salary of at least AED 10,000 or AED 8,000, plus accommodation.
All family members over the age of 18 must also pass a medical fitness exam at a government-approved health facility in the UAE.
Documents required
- Visa Application Form for the United Arab Emirates (online or through a registered typing office)
- Copies of the sponsored family member’s passports
- Photographs of the sponsored family member(s) in passport size
- Any family member over the age of 18 must have a medical clearance certificate.
- A copy of the sponsor’s job contract or company contract, as well as proof of the sponsor’s monthly income.
- Legalized marriage certificate

Application process
The expatriate or his or her employer might sponsor a family visa for the UAE. You must apply for a UAE Family Visa within 60 days after acquiring your own UAE Residence Visa as a foreign resident.
After your family members have already entered the nation on an entry permit, you must submit it on their behalf. The family visa application can be submitted at the applicable emirate’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) office.
Because Dubai is part of the United Arab Emirates, if you are an expatriate residing in Dubai and want to bring your family with you, you must meet the same sponsorship conditions as those listed above.
