A Contributory Aged Parent Visa 884 is for the parents of Australian citizens or permanent residents that lets them stay in Australia temporarily. This visa will allow the parents to live for two years in Australia from the date of obtaining the visa. The costs must be paid in two instalments, the first one paid at the time of application, and the second one must be paid as and when asked. You must pay a separate visa fee for each family member. Requirements
- Not have or applied to Sponsored Parent subclass 870 visa: The applicant can’t apply for Contributory Aged Parent Visa 884 if they hold or have already used for Sponsored Parent (Temporary) (subclass 870) visa.
- Applicants must have an eligible sponsor: The sponsors are generally their eligible children, but if their child is below eighteen years of age, the applicant can have a community organization or eligible relatives as a sponsor.
- Be the age of a pensioner: The candidate must be the age of a pensioner in Australia.
- No stay condition on the current visa: Your current visa must not have any further stay condition mentioned.
- Health requirement: Applicant must meet the health requirement of Australia.
- Character requirement: Applicant must meet the character requirement of Australia.
- Balance of family test: Applicant must meet the balance of family test.
