The Netherlands has decided to reopen its visa application centers that are located abroad. These were closed temporarily following the COVID-19 outbreak. So, now more people start applying for visas like the Netherlands visit visa in different parts of the world.
VFS Global reports that the Netherlands Passport and ID services have started working in Chicago, US after its temporary closure. VFS Global is an outsourcing and technology company that serves governments and diplomatic missions on a global scale. Netherlands has outsourced its visa services to VFS in many countries.
VFS also reports that the Netherlands Visa Application Center in Tokyo is now accepting applications for short-stay in limited numbers. So is the center in Bangkok, Thailand, except that it’s also accepting applications for long-stay.
The Netherlands Visa Application Center in Moscow accepts applications for short-stays.
The visa centers in Morocco’s Rabat and Nador are open just for passport return services. Passport pass-back services are available at the centers in:
- Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
- Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Beirut, Lebanon
- Amman, Jordan
- Accra, Ghana
In Manila, Philippines, seafarers can submit applications for Dutch seafarer’s visa.
In all locations the applicants are instructed to:
- Take precautions against COVID-19 in the flight
- Be there at the given time of appointment
- Adhere to social distancing measures and wearing face masks
Also, the Netherlands embassy in Dublin has resumed offering consular services in limited capacity from July 20, 2020.
