The post-graduate work permit can only be acquired once in a lifetime, particularly for students graduating from post-graduate or secondary institutions in Canada. Candidates can gain work experience via a Post Graduate work permit (PGWP) that can assist them in applying for Canadian permanent residency.

Given below is the eligibility criterion for the PGWP –

  • The candidate must have a temporary status visa or not be in the country when applying.
  • Must be over the age of 18.
  • Must graduate from a registered DLI.
  • Must have completed a study course of at least 8 months or more.
  • Must have a full-time study permit.
  • Must apply within six months of graduating.
