IMP stands for International Mobility Program. It is one of the Canadian immigration programs that allow Canada-based employers to hire foreign temporary workers without an LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment). The program focuses on enhancing Canada’s economic and cultural significance and is loosely based on reciprocal agreements like NAFTA, CETA, and IEC, etc. The International Mobility Stream has a 2-week processing time for work permits and is supervised by the IRCC.
