If the principal applicant is employed in Skill Levels A/B positions or 1 NOC Skill Type 0 in Yukon, their /spouse can be issued an open work permit, which is location-specific through the LMIA exemption code C41.

Usually, the common-law partner/spouse is granted a location-specific open work permit in the same community of Yukon as the principal applicant’s job location.
