The length of a UK student visa is determined by adding the following:
- Start date of your course to the end date of your course
- The UKVI Wrap up period

If you are aged 18 years or above doing a course of a degree level, in usual cases you can stay in the UK for a period, not more than 5 years. If your course is below degree level, in usual cases you can stay in the UK for a period, not more than 2 years.
If you want to stay longer in the UK on this visa, you may:
- apply to extend your visa as per eligibility
- change to a student visa from another visa in case you are present in the UK already
change to a graduate visa so that you can stay in the UK for a minimum period of 2 years post the successful completion of your course
