The requirements that are needed to apply for a National Insurance number are as follows:
Proof of identification
This proof will include your passport, national identity card, and driving license.
Proof of address
For the proof of address, you need to submit any one of the following
- Bank statement
- Rental contract
- Mortgage statement
Your reference number
You have to provide your reference number which is a nine-digit number which is issued during the time of securing your appointment. This number will be provided to you when your account is being created. You can also find the number on your appointment letter.
