SINP invites 280 immigration candidates, Saskatchewan offers nomination

Saskatchewan conducted an EOI draw on July 21, 2021. SINP issued 280 invitations to immigration candidates across 2 streams to apply for a provincial nomination.

The process for EOI in Saskatchewan

  • Submission of a candidate’s EOI profile
  • Entry of the candidate into the EOI candidate pool
  • Selection of EOI candidates
  • Issuance of ITAs through draws held regularly
  • Submission of applications by candidates in full within 60 days
  • Assessment of applications by officials of SINP and their final decision on approval

Requirements of sub-category - Occupations In-demand

  • A score of at least 60 points on the points assessment grid of SINP
  • A minimum language score of CLB 4 (higher scores may be asked for by employers and regulatory bodies)
  • Completion of one year of post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or training with comparison to the education system in Canada. You must have earned a degree, certificate, or diploma.
    • Diplomas and degrees obtained outside Canada that are subject to an ECA
  • A minimum of 1 year’s work experience in the past 10 years:
    • In an occupation considered eligible in categories NOC A, B, 0, and
    • In the candidate’s field of education or occupational training
  • Get the suitable licensure in Saskatchewan in case it’s required for your field, without which the authorities won’t go ahead with application processing
  • Have proof of settlement funds as well as a plan for settlement
  • Payment of $300 as application fee online, that’s non-refundable

Requirements of sub-category - Express Entry

  • Candidates must be either from outside Canada or with legal status in Canada
  • A profile in the Express Entry pool, with profile number as well as job seeker validation code
  • A score of at least 60 points on the points assessment grid of SINP
  • Results of a valid language test from a designated testing agency that matches those in the Express Entry profile
  • Completion of one year of post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or training with comparisons to the education system of Canada. You must have earned a degree, certificate, or diploma
    • Diplomas or degrees obtained outside Canada subject to an ECA
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the candidate’s field of education or occupational training:
    • Work experience of 1 year in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades),
    • Work experience of 2 years in a skilled trade in the past 5 years, or
    • Work experience of 1 year in Canada in the past 3 years (non-trades and trades)
  • Work experience in an occupation requiring high skill deemed eligible in categories NOC A, B, 0
  • Get the suitable licensure in Saskatchewan where the candidate has a profession that’s regulated if not active in a skilled trade. A certificate is needed for skilled trades from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.
  • Proof of settlement funds as well as a settlement plan
  • Payment of $300 as application fee online that’s non-refundable
