About Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program
For individuals and families who are ready to establish, buy, or partner in a business in Saskatchewan, the SEP opens a pathway. Potential entrepreneurs can utilize this immigration route to grab business opportunities in this province.
If you have taken this path and done business in Saskatchewan successfully for at least six months, you may apply for a provincial nomination. This can be followed by an application for Canada PR status.
There are four steps in the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program process. They are as follows:
- Submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) to the SINP and take a place in the candidate pool.
- Get an invitation issued by the SINP to submit an application during a selection.
- Establish and run a business in Saskatchewan.
- Get a provincial nomination.
Saskatchewan immigration authorities issue invitations to candidates from the EOI pool who rank the highest during periodic draws.

Requirements for eligibility in SINP Entrepreneurship Stream
Here are the 3 criteria for eligibility in the SINP Entrepreneur Category that you are required to meet for selection and approval:
- Accumulation of net worth through legal means
- A net worth of at least CAD500,000
- At least three years of entrepreneurial or relevant experience in business management
In case you receive approval from the SINP you can earn a provincial nomination for Canada PR. For this you will need to:
- Establish a business that levels up with the points given in the Entrepreneur Category Points Grid
- Invest at least CAD300,000 in Regina and Saskatoon or at least CAD200,000 in all other communities in Saskatchewan
- Provide active and continuous participation in the daily management of the business
- Own a minimum of one-third of the equity of a business conducted in Saskatchewan as far your total investment is under CAD1 million
- Create at least 2 employment opportunities for Canadians
