Nurses wishing to migrate to Canada for jobs must fulfill the given eligibility criteria and meet the requirements, including academic credentials.
Five organizations that the government of Canada acknowledges assessing educational credentials are given below:
- World Education Services (WES);
- International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS);
- Comparative Education Service (CES);
- International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS), and;
- International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES).
*The next step post the verification of the credentials is to get the nursing credentials recognized and registered by the NNAS (National Nursing Assessment Service) in Canada which will cost around $650 US Dollars.
Requirements for a NNAS profile
Every Nurse who wishes to migrate to Canada must make a profile on NNAS.
The requirements for an NNAS profile are given below –
- Two notarized copies of identity and original copies of requirements are dated and stamped with a verified signature.
- Academic proof of the Nurse includes transcripts, course descriptions, curriculum, and syllabus.
- Proof of registration form of nursing that is submitted to the licensing authority of nursing in the native country.
- Evidence of practice or employment in nursing for at least five years from previously worked organizations.
- Proof of English language proficiency (IELTS score)
Candidates can submit their applications after submitting the requirements to the NNAS.
