Canada immigration is performing strongly by conducting more Express Entry PNP draws.
Another Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Tech draw that took place on May 13, 2020, has become a source of more skilled tech workers.
Invitations were sent to 703 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
The chosen candidates could apply for permanent residence in the process.
The candidates possessed work experience in tech jobs like:
- Computer and information systems managers NOC 0213
- Database analysts and data administrators NOC 2172
- Computer engineers NOC 2147
- Computer programmer and interactive media developers NOC 2174
- Software engineers and designers NOC 2173
- Web designers and developers NOC 2175
The candidates chosen for receiving invitations had a Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) of 421 to 451 points. This is the lowest CRS score in the history of this program. This is a fa factor for those looking for chances to immigrate via immigration Canada.
If the candidates invited in this draw get a provincial nomination, they will get an additional 600 points on their CRS score. The extra points will come handy in a forthcoming federal Express Entry draw.
Provincial Nominee Programs (Ontario PNP) of Ontario is linked with Express Entry. It’s one of 9 provinces of Canada that have PNPs linked so.
Candidates who got invited from Ontario or have received Notification of Interest (NOI) must have eligibility for the Human Capital Priorities stream. The Human Capital Priorities Stream allows OINP to find eligible candidates from the federal Express Entry pool.
Candidates have no need to have a job offer to join the Human Capital Priorities stream. But it’s required that their profiles are in the Express Entry pool.
The invited Express Entry candidates have a minimum of 1-year experience in a paid full-time job. An equivalent part-time job for which the candidate was paid is also considered valid.
The candidate’s experience in the job must be in one of the 6 tech occupations listed by OINP.
These tech workers will work towards Canada’s economic recovery after COVID-19.
