Nova Scotia PNP draw on Dec 1

On December 1, Nova Scotia invited an unrevealed number of immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR. The candidates were invited by NSNP via its LMP stream which is linked with Express Entry.

Through the LMP stream, Nova Scotia PNP finds the most eligible candidates from the Express Entry candidate pool to meet the labor market needs of Nova Scotia province.

The eligible candidates invited in this draw had a job offer from an employer in the province to work in Canada on a full-time skilled job. The full-time job must be for a minimum period of a year after the Canada PR visa is issued.

Candidates in this draw are also required to have a year’s work experience in skilled job-related work. Besides, they must also have a secondary school diploma or the equivalent of it from Canada.

A CLB 5 score in English or French was also expected of the candidates in the draw.

Candidates who got an invitation in this draw have 30 calendar days to complete and submit an application to NSNP.

Copies of language tests, education proof, and a job offer must be attached to the application.

To be eligible for Nova Scotia’s provincial nomination via the LMP stream, the candidates must have a profile in the Express Entry system.

The Express Entry system

The Express Entry system is a tool for the federal government to manage Canada PR applications of immigration candidates via federal immigration programs like FSTP, FSWP, and CEC.

Express Entry candidates are assigned CRS scores based on factors like age, education, work experience, and language skills in English or French. The higher the CRS score, the better the chances of the candidate to be invited in a Canada immigration draw.

Candidates provincially nominated will be awarded 600 extra CRS points. It can help the candidate by ensuring an ITA in a federal Express Entry draw coming up.
