Nova Scotia issued 43 invitations on February 24, 2021, in a business immigration draw. The draw was targeted at candidates of Entrepreneur Stream.
The invites were sent via the Nova Scotia Nominee Program. The candidate with the lowest rank scored 118 points.
What’s the Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream?
This stream targets Canada immigration candidates with experience in owning a business or undertaking senior management roles. These candidates must be living in Nova Scotia. They must be starting a new business or buying an existing business of which, in either case, they must be actively taking part in its management on a daily basis.
Under this stream, the candidates are first issued a temporary work permit Canada issues. Following this, they may apply for a Canada PR after operating the business for a year. The stream uses an EOI format. This means that the candidates will be invited from a pool of profiles to apply.

Eligibility requirements for a candidate to apply in Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream
- Minimum age of 21
- Willing to live permanently in Nova Scotia owning and managing a business in the province
- A net worth of not less than $600,000
- An investment of at least $150,000 to set up or buy a business in Nova Scotia
- An experience of at least 3 years in actively managing and owning a business (minimum 33% ownership) or over 5 years of experience in a senior business management role
- A minimum score of 5 on the CLB in listening, speaking, writing, and reading in English/French
