Nova Scotia Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Immigration pilot issued a letter of interest on December 20, 2022

Candidates/Applicants who received a letter of interest on December 20, 2022, are invited to take part in the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Immigration pilot of Nova Scotia.

Those who obtained a job offer in Nova Scotia can use the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) or the Nova Scotia Nominee Program: Skilled Worker Stream. Your name will, however, be counted in the Federal Express Entry pool.

A federal immigration program, the Atlantic Immigration Program, enables employers to hire skilled foreign workers and graduates from across the world to fulfil Canada’s employment needs.

The eligibility criteria for the Atlantic Immigration Program are as follows.

  • A valid Job offer from an organization nominated under the Atlantic Immigration Program.
  • A valid passport and lawful status in the country of origin.
  • High school diploma from Canada or its equivalent from an overseas country with an educational credential assessment.
  • A minimum of CLB 5 in the language test, either in English or French.
  • A letter of reference showing that the applicant has work experience of one year in a job relevant to Early Childhood Development.
  • Committed to living and thereafter permanently settling in Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia Nominee Program

The aim of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program: Skilled Worker Stream is to aid employers in hiring foreign workers and newly passed out international students who have skills that are in demand in Nova Scotia. Employers are allowed to only employ foreign workers for roles they have not been able to meet with citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

The eligibility criteria for the Nova Scotia Nominee Program: Skilled Worker Stream includes:

  • A valid Job offer from a Nova Scotia-based employer.
  • A valid passport and lawful status in the country of origin.
  • Evidence of having graduated in secondary school graduation from the country of origin.
  • Evidence of having language proficiency equal to CLB 5 in either English or French.
  • A letter of reference showing that the applicant has work experience of one year in a job relevant to Early Childhood Development.
  • Committed to living and thereafter permanently settling in Nova Scotia.
