Manitoba welcomes 118 new candidates in its latest PNP draw

On December 30, 2020, Manitoba issued invites to 118 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in its latest PNP draw. The Manitoba PNP invited international graduates and skilled workers to apply to one of the streams mentioned below:

• Skilled Workers in Manitoba
• International Education Stream
• Skilled Workers Overseas

The number of LAAs sent was distributed as follows:

13 out of the 118 LAAs issued went to Express Entry candidates. The EE candidates were required to hold a valid EE ID as well as a job seeker validation code. They also needed work experience in any job listed in Manitoba’s list of in-demand occupations. The work experience had to be verifiable.

Only those candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream invited under a strategic recruitment initiative were considered in this draw.

In case candidates got more than the minimum score required and yet didn’t get an LAA, the reasons could be:

• Invalid test number for their third-party language test
• Invalid language test due to exceeding the validity time limit
• Invalid invitation number sent by the candidate

MPNP has advised candidates in any of these situations to update their EOI profile with the correct details. Thus, they will stand a chance to be issued an invite in an upcoming draw.

Those who haven’t completed all steps in getting licensed to work in Canada in Manitoba or those who aren’t working in a regulated job may decline their LAA.
