On April 8, 2021, Manitoba held a provincial draw that invited 243 Canada immigration candidates. They were issued invites to apply for a provincial nomination.
If the candidates receive the provincial nomination from Manitoba via the MPNP, it will give good support to their application for Canada PR. Manitoba holds regular PNP draws in the PNP streams of:
- International Education Stream
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba
- Skilled Workers Overseas
The candidates from these skilled worker streams need to have their EOI profiles already submitted.
The results from the latest draw are as follows:

About Manitoba immigration programs
Manitoba’s provincial government manages its immigration operations via Manitoba PNP. It supports the processing of applications for immigration to Canada’s federal government. Though Canadian provinces haven’t got the power to grant a Canadian permanent resident status, they can surely help an application be picked above the others by giving provincial nominations. For such nominations, the candidates get 600 extra CRS points. This increased point helps the immigration candidate to get a better chance at receiving ITAs in a federal immigration draw.
If you register an EOI with MPNP, you can benefit from the nomination received from Manitoba. Then you can stand a better chance to get an LAA via the streams of Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba.
The ranking Manitoba gives candidates is out of 1000 points. These points are given for human capital factors like age, work experience, education, language skills, and connection with the province. The connection with Manitoba could be through previous experience in the province, family ties, or an invitation via one of the strategic recruitment initiatives of Manitoba.
It isn’t required to live in Manitoba while applying to be eligible.
An offer for a full-time job from a provincial employer is necessary to receive an invitation under the category of Skilled Workers in Manitoba.
Under the International Education stream, if international graduates who graduated from Manitoba can demonstrate that they have in-demand skills, they stand a chance to receive an LAA.
Manitoba invites Express Entry candidates
You can get to a Canada PR bypassing the PNP process by applying via Express Entry directly. But, getting a provincial nomination can in effect guarantee that IRCC will issue an invitation to you to apply for Canada PR.
Express Entry manages permanent residence applications for 3 federal immigration programs. Every profile submitted to the Express Entry system will be ranked by CRS. The score is granted on the basis of factors like education, age, work experience, language skills, and education.
Immigration candidates who scored high will get ITAs for permanent residence via Express Entry draws held on a regular basis.
