The latest draw held by Manitoba on the 15th of August invited 360 candidates.
The candidates received invitations under the following sub-categories:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba
- Internation Education Stream
- Skilled Workers Overseas
32 invitations out of the total of 360, went to candidates in the Express Entry Pool.
In 2018, the MPNP issued around 5,207 invitations. 98% of these invitations were issued in both the skilled workers' category.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba sub-stream received 241 invites. This stream is open to temporary foreign workers and international students who are already working in Manitoba.
You must create an online profile to apply under this category. The EOI profile contains details regarding your age, education, language skills, work experience etc. You will be scored out of a total of 1000 points on the Manitoba points-grid. Eligible candidates are then placed in the EOI Pool of Manitoba.
The least-scoring candidate in this sub-stream had a score of 542.
Skilled Workers Overseas
This stream received 83 invites. Invited candidates were part of the Strategic Recruitment Initiative of Manitoba.
You need to create an online EOI profile to apply under this category too.
The least-scoring candidate had a score of 685 under this sub-stream.
Express Entry candidates who were invited under the Skilled Workers Overseas sub-category need to have a valid profile in the EE Pool. Eligible candidates should also have work experience in any occupations listed on the in-demand occupation list.
International Education Stream
International graduates who meet the labour and economic requirements of Manitoba qualify under this stream.
There are three sub-streams:
- Student Entrepreneur Pathway
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
This stream received 36 invitations in the 15th August draw.
The MPNP has conducted 16 draws so far in 2019 and issued 5810 invites, as per CIC News.
