Who can apply for the IEC program?
The basic eligibility for the program is the age and the candidate's nationality. Applicants must be between 18-35 years and surpass the nationality qualification. Candidates from nations with Bilateral Youth Agreements with Canada are more likely to participate.

An annual pool will be conducted wherein candidates can apply based on their interests. The eligible candidates are provided with three streams under which they can apply for the IEC program.
The Three Main Streams

What are the Eligibility Criteria for the IEC program?
The candidates interested in applying for the IEC program must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria. Applicants must –
- Youth Mobility Agreement standards - Be a member of the 36 partnered countries (Youth Mobility Agreement) with active citizenship and passport.
- Proof of Funds - Have funds equivalent to CAD 2,500 upon landing in Canada.
- Passport validity - Have a valid and active passport for your stay in Canada.
- Health Insurance - Must be eligible to avail of health insurance.
- Admissible eligibility - Must qualify according to the Canadian admissible rules.
- Age Limit - Must be within the age of 18-35.
- Nationality Limit - Must check eligibility based on their respective nationality.
- Flight expenses - Have sufficient capital to afford departure flight tickets upon the termination of their stay in Canada.
- No dependents policy - Must not be attended by dependents.
- Fee eligibility- Must have the required fees for the processes.
