Highlights
- Every 2-3 years, depending on the type of visa, every UAE resident must check their Visa status.
- The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship provides an option to check the validity of Visa status.
Step by Step procedure to track UAE Visa status
We all remember the month of expiry of our passports, but we don't remember the exact date. And when the month arrives, we try to check the date of expiry, as we don’t carry the passport often, sometimes it will be postponed, and you will miss renewing.
All you need to check the residence visa validity is your passport number and the expiry date. Always keep a photocopy on your phone or a scanned version with you.

Important Points to note
- Suppose you are an applicant checking your passport status. In that case, when you follow the procedure mentioned above, the system will give the application status either approved or declined or still under process.
- If you have got the UAE Visa from an agent, then the system does not advocate your application in UAE Visa status, which means your visa is fake. Otherwise, you will get approved or declined status information.
-
If you are staying in UAE and checking the status, you need the entry number instead of the passport number. It will not work or allow you to apply if you still have not entered.
