In the months between January and October 2021, there was an average influx of 31,370 newcomers per month. This average is unprecedently high when compared to recent years.
Canada’s ambitious immigration target for the year 2021 can be achieved with 43,650 new immigrants per month in November and December.
Pulling off the current level of success in Canada immigration was a feat the country managed after taking the following steps:
- A huge immigration draw was conducted in February 2021 in which 27,332 invitations were issued to CEC candidates. 90% of these candidates were TFWs engaged in work in Canada.
- A new TR to PR pathway for Canada immigration was opened via which, 90,000 additional immigrants were aimed for. These included international students, healthcare workers, and other essential workers, all present in Canada on a temporary basis.
