Highlights of Canada’s investment in realizing the goals of Canada Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025

More great news from Canada as the 2022 Fall Economic Statement brought to the fore details of the Canadian government’s investment plans to ensure the realization of the Canada Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025. The Statement was a comprehensive one with plans for various sectors of the Canadian economy, to which Canada immigration is a big contributor.
The Government of Canada enthusiastically reiterated the role of immigration in the economic development of the country. To realize the ambitious Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025, the government has committed an investment of CAD1.6 million over the next six years. This amount will be used to ensure the smooth processing of immigration applications and settlement of new immigrants arriving in Canada.
It’s essential that faster immigration and quicker as well as effective assistance for newcomers are provided so that they can begin to live and work in Canada better and sooner. - accelerating immigration application processing
- allowing skilled immigrants to fill critical worker gaps at the earliest

Here are some more highlights of the Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025
- There’s a focus on growth in the Canadian economy in the long run. There will be a little over 60 percent of admissions of immigrants in the economic class by the year 2025.
- IRCC will use new features in the Express Entry system with the aim of welcoming newcomers possessing the required qualifications and skills in sectors that have acute worker shortages including manufacturing, healthcare, STEM, and building trades.
- There will be an increase in regional immigration programs to meet targeted local job market requirements through PNP, AIP, and RNIP programs.
- Canada will work on reuniting a larger number of families, faster.
- IRCC will ensure that a minimum of 4.4 percent of newcomers immigrating outside Quebec are Francophones.
- Canada will give support for global crises. The Canadian government will do it by ensuring a safe haven for people who face persecution. For this, Canada will expand the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot.
