Highlights: Canada issues 128,574 work permits in 2023
- Canada granted 128,574 work permits via IEC invites since January 2023.
- The IEC issued 4,137 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) towards the end of October 13, 2023.
- The Canadian work permit invites were granted fewer than three major categories.
- 125,000 people have been invited so far by the IEC, with 14,241 vacant spots.
- The processing time for the IEC has now extended to six weeks.

You can follow the simple steps below to apply for International Experience Canada:
Step 1: Create a profile of IEC.
Step 2: Acquire an ITA (Invitation to Apply)
Step 3: Accept the ITA within a 10-day time frame.
Step 4: Submit your application for work permit
Step 5: Receive work permit
