British Columbia conducted its latest PNP draw through the BC Tech Pilot on December 1, 2020, and invited 68 new immigration candidates. The invitations were sent through Skills Immigration and EEBC streams.
The candidates were invited under the sub-categories of International Graduate and Skilled Worker. The invited candidates had to have a job offer in a tech occupation to get their nominations.
At least 80 points were required by the candidates to receive the invitation.
The BC PNP also issued 11 invitations via its Entrepreneur Immigration stream. The least score required by candidates for this draw was 121.
The BC PNP draws are conducted once every week. The candidates participating in the draw must create a profile via the online portal of BC PNP. They must also register under its SIRS.
The candidates are evaluated on the basis of their age, work experience, education, English proficiency, and employment location.
An approved applicant can use their provincial nomination to apply for Canada PR with IRCC under the PNP.
Express Entry candidates who get provincial nomination will also get 600 extra CRS scores which will effectively guarantee them an upper hand during selections in a future federal Express Entry draw.
British Columbia PNP is used by the province to nominate skilled new immigrants who can adapt and live in the locallabor market in the province.
