  • Skilled Worker: 105
  • International Graduate: 105

The candidates were invited to apply under Skills Immigration and EEBC categories.

The minimum required score for cut-off for the Skills Immigration’s sub-categories were:

  • Skilled Worker: 105
  • International Graduate: 105
  • Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 81

Due to the COVID-19 crisis. BC didn’t include many jobs in sales and services from being included in the draw. The pandemic has had a profound effect on the Canada immigration process.

These chosen candidates were required to have their profiles in Canada’s Express Entry system. This system is maintained by Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). On getting an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination from BC, a candidate gets an extra 600 points on the original Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This, in effect, guarantees the candidate to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence (PR).

Candidates from Entrepreneurship streams were also invited. 29 invitations were issued under BC PNP’s category of Entrepreneur Immigration Base. 121 was the cut-off score. BC also sent out 9 invitations to candidates from Entrepreneur immigration – Regional Pilot. A cut-off score of a minimum of 118 points was stipulated for them.

The draw from the Entrepreneurship stream aimed at inviting established entrepreneurs willing to either acquire an existing Canadian business or start one of their own. These candidates were assessed based on:

  • Net worth
  • Business experience
  • Business plan
  • Amount of investment planned
  • Education

This PNP intends to motivate immigrant entrepreneurs to become part of smaller communities of BC. They can establish enterprises that work for these communities.
