  • The Immigration Minister of Canada, Sean Fraser, announced Category-based selection for EE Draws.
  • The category-based EE Draws include six categories that are mentioned below –
    • Healthcare
    • Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
    • Trades, such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
    • Transportation
    • Agriculture and Agri-food
    • Strong French language proficiency

The IRCC plans to invite 1500 healthcare workers via the category-based selection EE Draw on July 5, 2023.
